Adult Eastsound entertainment

The ladies found a chocolate tasting, and we all ate at the Mexi restaurant in Eastsound while waiting for the crab fairy to arrive... Good times, good times!

Even More Eastsound photos

It is fun to upload pics when you're not depending on a satellite...

More Eastsoun photos

More fair photos.

Eastsound Labor Day

Damons and Finnegans and Carrs had a great opportunity to stay at a cabin on Eastsound, Orcas Island, donated to a Rotary Auction by the Smiths. Thank you Smiths! Kids had a great time faccepainting and in stoory time at the Eastsound festival, and the Men had fun crabbing and napping. The weekend ended poorly when the Huskies lost to BYU and the rain rolled in on Sunday to let us know summer was completely over and we'd better get ready for winter. Thanks too for the Crab Fairy Moose McCallum who delivered some crustaceans to us daily.

Sooke

Spent the last weekend of August on a Mancation to Sooke, BC. Friday night in Victoria was uneventful, and we got into some sockeye and a 35# ling cod on Saturday. Great raftup scene with Anonymoose and Shamahawk, with huge ribeyes and leftover Desolation and Barkley prawns. Good times. More pics to follow when I find them.

Montague

Having made Montague a day earlier than planned, we met up with our old college buddies the Meyer-Martins who are fortunate enough to have smart ancestors who built a cabin on Active Pass. I'm certain someplace I have photos of the ferries transiting the pass, I spent every minute watching these enormous steel hulks avoid reefs, fishing boats, and each other for our 7 hour visit.

Delayed entry!

Thought I'd update some late summer activities. After leaving Greenway we are low on photos for some reason. We I do have a nice one of Amie in the dingy as we explored a side channel off Greenway Sound, and the next night we stayed in Burial Cove off of Maltpi. Then we ran Johnstone to Cortez Island to meet up with the illustrious DelValle twosome. They gave us a tour of the Seattle Yacht Club outstation at Cortez Is, what a great facility. We spent one more night at Tenedow Bay injuretubing and swimming in both salt and fresh, then ran to Lund for lunch and all the way to Montague Harbor that night. WOW!
